Yamagoya Ramen can now be found in Kota Kinabalu and forms a part of the Japanese ramen chains with more than one hundred and forty franchised outlets. The restaurant specializes in offering Kyushu styled ramen which is pork bone ramen. It comes with broth that is thick and delicious and so rich that a film deposits on the soup when left unstirred for a little while. The characteristic ramen by Yamagoya Ramen consists of noodles, hard boiled eggs, fatty pork slices, bamboo shoot, chopped spring onion, beansprouts, fried garlic, black fungus, and seaweed. Each table offers pickled gingers, chilli, and sesame seeds.
