Located at an altitude of 1,585m above sea level, the Kinabalu Park is situated at Mount Kinabalu’s foothills. This World Heritage Site is home to numerous varieties of fauna and flora native to this area. Buses as well as organised tours are available for the tourists who wish to visit the Kinabalu Park. The carnivorous pitcher plants and the orchids are the main highlights of the park along several other plant species. The Nepenthes raja is the most renowned pitcher plant of the park as its bell can hold over 3 litres of water. The largest flower of the world, Rafflesia is also found at this park.
