Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park, Kota Kinabalu
Mamutik Island is one of the 5 islands that form Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park 3-8 kilometres off the Kota Kinabalu coast of Sabah. It is the smallest island in the cluster and has expanse of only 60 square metres. It is peaceful island with rich coral reefs and diverse marine life. Due to its small size, it is relatively free from tourist intrusions. The white distichopora coral lace of the north-eastern tip is worth a visit. The island is worth camping for an entire day including overnight stay. However, permission needs to be taken from Saba Park officials before camping.
