The Sepilok Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre is located on Sabah’s east coast at a distance of 23km from Sandakan. The primary purpose of this centre is to protect these amazing creatures from extinction. The place offers a chance to the visitors to watch these creatures in their original habitat. The ticket counter remains open from 9a.m to 11a.m as well as from 2p.m to 3p.m. The feeding platform is where the visitors gather to catch a glimpse of these creatures. The entire trek through the boardwalk within the forest can act as a refreshing and rejuvenating experience for the visitors.
